Microgrid Opportunities: Vehicles Enhancing Resiliency (MOVER)

The objective of the project is to demonstrate, refine, and disseminate a nationally replicable model for implementation of vehicle to grid optimization coupled with resilience and grid services for a community center and school. MOVER will complete an emerging technology analysis and field validation that combines zero emission electric school buses with solar photovoltaics (PV), energy storage, and microgrid technology to create a resilient, low-carbon energy system able to continually deliver grid services and trim emissions while providing backup energy during significant grid, weather, fire, or seismic events.
